What’s Hot What’s Not This Fall / Winter San Diego Locations 2024

With Fall / Winter soon approaching I thought I’d list 10 hot locations in San Diego County. The beach areas start to cool and people like to be seen doing their thing and dressing in the latest fashion. If you like the active lifestyle in the day and to be seen at night you might like these locations.

  1. La Jolla Beach and Tennis is the perfect place to visit in the day. Stay at one of the local hotels play, tennis, visit the museum shop, and then in the evening walk to your favorite restaurant for cocktails and dining.

  2. Chula Vista- Planning on Visiting Mexico for the day. Stay at one of the luxury hotels. Visit Tijuana, shop, eat, dance, drink, and taxi yourself right back to your hotel. This can be arranged with several shuttle businesses, and taxi companies depending on the number of people in the party.

  3. Little Italy- Got a Big Family? There is nothing like having a “Big Family Party” serving up Italian Food. Very popular area for college students and an artist due to the fact the area has one of the largest art stores in San Diego County. Smaller hotels might allow the family to feel more comfortable although you’ll find 5-star Hotels in Little Italy. Fill with many day-activating and delicious restaurants.

  4. Christmas At Balboa Park- There is nothing as beautiful as seeing a park lit with Christmas lights, and signings, The Holiday just lets people experience a holiday feeling. If you are planning on doing this activity, then I recommend seeing it during the day. There is always lots to do from visiting museums or day daytime concerts and ballets. This will help you appreciate how pretty it looks at night. Hotel recommendations are plentiful in the area.

Suggestion: Wymhan Golden State Plus, mom and dad can get a babysitter and attend dinner theatre at night.

5. Looking for nightlife and to “party” the night away. “Gaslamp District’ is for you. The streets are light during the next few months. It’s easy to walk from one location to another. If you're into watching sports on the big screen while having a beer with friends then this is where you want to be. Remember Uber are very popular, it’s better to Uber than to drink and drive. I recommend if you planning on visiting more than one nightclub and drinking the night away there are hotels in the area that cater to those with this in mind.
